Eyes FOCUSED on the Ball!
Today is International Women’s Day, so I thought it’s great to celebrate the wonderful people who make life and living possible. God has made them worthy vessels for the advancement of humanity, and truly, we must celebrate and appreciate women and girls around the world.
We live in a world where everything seems to be moving so fast, and there is always something to look forward to. Every day, we set a new goal, a new target, a new expectation, a new milestone… the list goes on and on!
Some days, things seem to go as planned, and on other days, it’s just a rollercoaster ride of failed promises, failed expectations and resentment. On the Good days, we celebrate our little wins, and on the other supposedly ‘Bad days’, we tend to scold ourselves like the world was going to come to an end!
Well, this is life. The ups, downs, challenges and successes are all part of the ecosystem called “Life”. It is amazing that we can experience a “High moment” and while we are still celebrating, we start to feel some sort of inadequacy because something else has not worked…or seems slow in yielding expected results.
Today, I write to assure you that you are doing just fine. The highs and the lows are worthwhile. They both have something to teach us. We are all a small part of a big system. In the end, everyone will be alright!
The popular Nigerian street talk, will put it this way: “Las las, we go dey alright”.
So, here’s the lesson in today’s talk:
- Strive to keep your eyes on the “BIG PICTURE”.
- Strive to live in the present
. Tomorrow will just be the way God has planned it to be!
- Keep your eyes on the things that matter most. Appreciate the times you spend with your Loved ones, cherished friends and everyone that adds meaning and color to your life!
- Don’t stop dreaming, don’t loose sight of the things that keep you grounded on your mission!
- Be a Beacon of Light to those coming behind you. There is always someone that needs the value you provide!
- Light up the room with your positivity and be an all-round inspiration to someone going through distress!
- Trust God for the things you want, and don’t stop until you’ve made God, yourself, family and the world - proud of your existence!
